Experienced Pharmacy Assistant

Metro Drugs is looking for an experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. We serve the surrounding community with a focus on group homes and small institutions. In addition to 1 year of pharmacy experience and proficiency in Kroll, the successful applicant must be organized, reliable, patient-focused, and possess excellent communication skills. We are a small pharmacy with a family feel that is dedicated to making a difference, and finding someone with a good culture fit is important. Primary Duties and responsibilities:

• Prepare, fill, and check technical aspects of prescriptions using Kroll Pharmacy software

• Prepare and process billings, claims, disbursements and related documents;

• Work independently on labeling and filling/refilling prescriptions

• Answer the phone and respond to inquiries from internal and external customers

• Provide customer assistance with merchandise on the sales floor and at the cash register

• Check store emails and respond accordingly

• Order, receive and maintain inventory of medications and recall documentation

• Ability to learn and troubleshoot changing technologies/machinery (Parata Max)

• Assist in general housekeeping and administrative duties

• Maintain workflow through effective task prioritization and teamwork

What you bring to the team:

• Kroll software experience

• Experience dispensing methadone

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Proven organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and as a team player

• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy

• Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations

• Possess initiative in providing high quality, patient-centered, pharmaceutical care for a diverse and medically complex patient population

Benefits:

Salary: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year

Salary: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
