NATURE AND SCOPE
Under the direction of the Associate Dean, Programs, the Pedagogical Counsellor is responsible for
the collection, analysis, and reporting on institutional data to support evidence-based program
management (program evaluation, revision, monitoring), and related College operations. The
Pedagogical Counsellor is committed to working in collaboration with internal and external
stakeholders to support the quality of the College’s academic programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Participates in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the Program Management
Policy, with a focus on institutional research and analysis
Performs analysis of quantitative and qualitative program data and ensures the accuracy and
reliability of the data
Develops and updates tools, such as program dashboards and surveys, to support ongoing
program monitoring and quality assurance mechanisms required by the Commission
d’évaluation de l’enseignement collégial
Pedagogical Counselor
Identifies and monitors trends in key performance indicators such as enrolment rates, on-time
graduation rates, graduate pathways, etc. in support of the ongoing monitoring of the strategic
plan
Designs and produces written reports and presentations for a variety of stakeholders
Collaborates with other college areas on processes related to program management, such as
admissions and student recruitment
Supports the development and management of pedagogical research grants
Acts as a College representative on various external bodies in areas related to institutional
research
Participates in relevant College committees
Fulfils other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
Superior spoken and written English (testing may be required)
Strong working knowledge of spoken and written French (testing may be required)
Minimum of 2 years of experience with producing written reports on qualitative and
quantitative data analysis
