The Welfare Council is recruiting employees for our growing team in Calgary, Arizona. A high level of attention to detail and a desire to develop professionally and personally in a dynamic working environment are expected.

The successful candidate will support the accounting department by providing professional, effective full-cycle accounting responsibilities for the firm’s internal and external accounting proposals and initiatives in accordance with the firm’s procedures and accounting standards in accordance with the Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE). He or she will process and register financial transactions in the accounting system and perform duties related to the activities of the executive head.

Duties of the Executive Assistant:

Scan receipts and supporting documentation in physical and digital form;
Write down and take notes about meetings as needed, summarizing the results for the heads of the executive branch;
Managing a calendar for managers
Managing the schedule of conference rooms and the necessary resources;
Distribution of incoming / outgoing mail and courier packages (domestic and international);
Providing logistical support and coordination of special events/catering (Board Meetings, Annual General Meetings, Events for clients, etc.);
Access cards for creating orders, food orders for internal meetings, stationary and business cards;
Maintaining a physical and digital file system;
Update and maintain the online team communication platform;
Performing an inventory of office premises;
Assistance in sending parcels, checks, documents, etc., requiring stamping and mailing; and
other duties for the intended purpose.

Accounting responsibilities:

Register and participate in the current day-to-day accounting / accounting function, including, but not limited to the analysis of general ledger accounts, and maintain full-cycle accounting records;
Complete monthly accounts receivable/payable, monthly account reconciliation, bank reconciliation and progress reporting and analysis;
Perform actions such as viewing and entering invoices, updating spreadsheets of the progress of various projects, etc.;
Prepare and record a recurring payroll accounting, including employee benefits and payroll taxes, to the Canadian Tax Agency;
Write down and prepare the GST accounts payable for the Canadian Tax Agency;
Fill out your annual corporate tax return to the Canadian Tax Agency;
View the full monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
Hold monthly financial meetings for senior management and discuss the analysis of deviations; based on the previous year and previously prepared budgets;
Coordinate with other departments to collect daily transactions, supporting documentation, and data for audit purposes;
Ability to create and document processes and controls related to the financial function;
Preparation and maintenance of relevant files of working documents and schedules for analysis, support and reporting;
Identify, investigate, manage, and quickly resolve accounting transaction issues; and
Assistance in the implementation of special projects and tasks as needed in order to improve the efficiency of operations and promote growth .


as a corporate administrator, customer support service, or in an administrative position on the front line;
Secondary education in the specialty “accounting, finance, business, financial planning or economics”.;

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $52,042.00-$89,466.00 per year
